Trail
Works, Inc., a not for profit organization was founded in
Wayne County New York in 1997 by a small group of individuals
who are dedicated trail users and who are interested in
trail develop-ment and expanding trail
use. |
Trail
Works purpose is to provide a unified voice for Wayne County
trail users as well as to coordinate the development and
maintenance of high-quality, year-round, multi-use trails.
Our purpose also embodies public education about trails
and public awareness of trail issues. |

A
Wayne County Gem Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve...
This 56 acre parcel in Macedon owned by the Genesee
Land Trust may be small, but it earns "precious jewel"
status with its wealth of habitat and wildlife diversity.
|
The
trail head is on Bunker Hill Rd and starts at the base of
the Macedon water tower visible from Wilkinson Rd. It begins
with hardwood forest where numerous early wild flowers strive
to grow and flower before trees leaf out and block the sunlight
reaching the forest floor. |

Very
important are the relationships Trail Works can and has
established with local and county govern-ments. These relat-ionships
are vital to moving ahead on any plans for trail develop-ment.
|
Our input
and that of other trail groups is important to the local
planning process, and exchange of information and expertise
between the various groups is vital to the process of
linking trails
in Wayne County and with trails in neighboring
counties. Read
